Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – A 36-year-old man was sentenced to a fine of 1,200 euros (120 daily rates) by the Frankfurt District Court on Monday because he had smeared the walls of the house with insulting slogans out of frustration about the previous separation from his girlfriend. The court assumed property damage and insult in eight cases and imposed a penalty order after the accused failed to appear at the hearing.

Last year, within a few weeks, there was graffiti, especially in the Oberrad district, from which the Sankt Georgen University of Applied Sciences was not spared either. The former girlfriend of the accused was insulted in the same lettering. Repairing the damage cost around 8,200 euros. The decision is not yet final.
