Dresden (dpa / sn) – Saxony’s government wants to support projects for communal building and living with a consulting network. From September onwards, building communities and housing project initiatives could benefit from the consultations, the State Ministry for Regional Development announced on Wednesday. In addition to organizing the group processes, it is about an initial assessment of the condition of the building, possible future uses and advice on construction and renovation.

State Minister Thomas Schmidt (CDU) said it was about creating future-proof districts and villages that were attractive places to live and live for all generations. “With affordable, senior-friendly housing, a functioning everyday supply as well as structures and initiatives that promote social, cross-generational togetherness, mutual support and the participation of everyone.”
