The actor vividly described waking up to find six paramedics in his living room, along with an ambulance outside his door and his doctors in space suits resembling those worn on Mars.

Pacino credited his assistant, Michael Quinn, for acting quickly and contacting the paramedics when he noticed something was wrong. Reflecting on his near-death experience, the Godfather star quoted Shakespeare’s Hamlet, emphasizing the finality of the situation.

Despite the severity of his illness, Pacino stated that the health scare did not alter his outlook on life. Sonny Boy, where he details this harrowing experience, is set to be released on Oct. 15 and will be available for purchase at various retailers.
