Baden-Württemberg: butchers receive more money

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Butchers in Baden-Württemberg will receive more money from January. Wages and salaries will increase by 150 euros in each wage group, according to the Food-Genuss-Gastätten union (NGG) on Wednesday in Stuttgart. The state guild association confirmed this on request. Training allowances are also increasing. In addition, there will be an inflation compensation premium of 450 euros in January.

According to the NGG, the collective agreement will run until the end of October 2023. The collective bargaining result takes into account both the economic situation of the companies and the high burdens on employees due to the dramatic increase in consumer prices, said NGG regional district chairman Uwe Hildebrandt.

According to the State Statistical Office, around 20,500 employees subject to social security contributions worked in the butcher trade in the southwest.
