Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – When investigating a fallen part of the facade, Freiburg investigators suspect that a climber could have triggered the dangerous incident. The case is not closed, witnesses are still being sought, as a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday when asked. Südwestrundfunk (SWR) had previously reported.
The facade decoration made of sandstone fell on the sidewalk on October 29th. There is a cinema in the Gründerzeit building. Nobody was injured on Kaiser-Joseph-Strasse, which is also frequented at night. As the police spokeswoman further reported, there is an expert opinion, according to which dilapidation is not the reason. There are more climbers on buildings in downtown Freiburg.
