Baden-Württemberg: Large search operation in the right milieu

Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – During a cross-border search operation in the right-wing extremist milieu, investigators seized Nazi memorabilia, various weapons that do not require a license and electronic data carriers. As announced by the public prosecutor and the State Criminal Police Office, the investigators searched a total of seven properties in Stuttgart, Mannheim, in the Enzkreis district and in the Ludwigsburg district as well as one property in Bavaria on Tuesday morning.

The public prosecutor’s office in Stuttgart and the State Criminal Police Office have been investigating a right-wing extremist group since September. She is suspected of preparing a serious act of violence that endangers the state and of wanting to buy weapons in Eastern Europe as an offshoot of a right-wing extremist group. The public prosecutor’s office did not want to specify which group it was on Tuesday. The criminal procedural measures are aimed at a total of five suspects between the ages of 19 and 23.
