Pforzheim (dpa / lsw) – A man is said to have been attacked and injured in Pforzheim by a 39-year-old with a knife. As the police and prosecutors announced on Sunday, there had previously been an exchange of words between the 39-year-old and the younger man and his companion on the station square. The 39-year-old then suddenly attacked the man in his mid-20s early Sunday morning with a knife. The victim needed emergency treatment and was taken to a hospital.
But there is no danger to life, it said. Police officers arrested the 39-year-old a little later. On Sunday evening, the investigators announced that he was in police custody. By order of the public prosecutor’s office, he will be brought before the magistrate, who will decide on the pre-trial detention. The investigation into the background of the incident continued.
