Baden-Württemberg: Police: Man stabs young people and injures them

Karlsruhe (dpa / lsw) – An unknown person is said to have attacked a 14-year-old youth in Karlsruhe with a knife and slightly injured him. According to the police on Monday, the man was drunk and insulted and threatened the 14-year-old and other young men with “xenophobic words”. According to initial investigations, he approached the group as they were leaving a downtown store. Then he is said to have stabbed the 14-year-old with a kind of hunting knife. The teenager suffered minor injuries to the upper body, it said.

After the incident last Saturday, the stranger is said to have insulted other passers-by. He then fled on a bicycle.

When asked, the police did not want to say exactly what words the man shouted. It was also initially not clear whether the suspect and the young people had been in contact or even argued before the attack and whether the attack was aimed at the 14-year-old. The police are looking for witnesses.
