Baden-Württemberg: Strobl at meetings of the restaurant association Dehoga

Because of Corona, the hospitality industry in the southwest recorded billions in losses. The industry is recovering this year. However, because of the energy crisis, there is a lot of uncertainty.

Rust (dpa/lsw) – Against the background of rising energy and food prices, restaurateurs and hoteliers are coming together today at 2 p.m. in Rust (Ortenaukreis) for a meeting of their industry association Dehoga. Baden-Württemberg’s Interior Minister Thomas Strobl (CDU) is expected at the conference in Europa-Park, as the association announced.

A nationwide member survey, in which 630 companies from the southwest took part, had shown that increasing costs and fears of inflation are depressing the mood.

According to President Guido Zöllick, the association demands that the federal government’s energy and electricity price brakes have a rapid impact on consumers and companies. The booking and reservation situation until the end of the year was mixed, it was said at the beginning of the month.

Around 200 participants are expected at the conference of the German Hotel and Restaurant Association (Dehoga) Baden-Württemberg in Rust.
