Pfedelbach (dpa/lsw) – After three years as Württemberg Wine Queen, the incumbent grape monarch Tamara Elbl put the crown on her successor on Thursday evening. In the elections in Elbl’s hometown of Pfedelbach (Hohenlohekreis), five young women are hoping for the title and the task of being the 57th crowned titleholder or being one of the two wine princesses to represent the wine region of Württemberg for a year. During the election (7.30 p.m.) the jury will examine not only the knowledge of wine and viticulture but also the appearance of the candidates. In the coming year, the wine queen will represent the vintners of Württemberg at more than 200 events.
