Munich (dpa / lby) – Because of a climate protest by the group “Last Generation”, the police blocked the Autobahn 9 in the direction of Munich on Monday morning at the Munich-Nord junction. A person with a poster was found there on a sign bridge, the police said on Monday. A spokesman did not initially give details. The climate group also confirmed the action on social media.
The “Last Generation” announced last Friday that they wanted to resume their protests on Monday. With their blockade actions or attacks on works of art, the group is currently making headlines again and again. The activists want to draw attention to the destruction of the environment and climate change.
As announced, activists from the group again stuck themselves on the street at Munich’s Karlsplatz (Stachus) on Monday and blocked traffic. The police were there with around 50 officers on duty.
