Bavaria: deadly dispute about child-rearing: man in court

Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – In the dispute over different views on child-rearing, a 43-year-old man in Bad Windsheim (Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district) is said to have stabbed his ex-wife to death. The man has to answer to the district court of Nuremberg-Fürth from this Tuesday. He is accused of murdering his ex-wife.

After separating from the mother of his children, the accused moved back in with the family – but spent the night in the children’s room. He monitored the woman for hours with the recording function of his mobile phone. He wanted to prove that the mother of his children maintained changing sexual contacts and thus disqualified himself in her role as a mother.

The man’s plan was to kill the woman, be sentenced to a comparatively short prison term for manslaughter and then be able to raise the children himself.

With the words “The day has come”, the man attacked the woman with a knife in his hand almost a year ago. He inflicted several serious stab and cut injuries on her. The woman died at the scene of the crime.

The 5th criminal division of the regional court has scheduled a total of seven days of hearing for the murder trial. A verdict could therefore fall on December 9th.
