Bavaria: State student council calls for corona preparation over the holidays

Munich (dpa/lby) – Shortly before the start of the summer holidays, the state student council is calling on politicians to prepare measures and strategies for the corona pandemic over the holidays. Among other things, it must be ensured that students who cannot attend classes in person are not left behind, the state student council announced on Friday. In addition, there are still gaps in the learning material for numerous students from previous years, which is why there should continue to be more support offers.

The “homework” that the student representatives give to politics over the holidays also includes better digitization, a better look at mental health and more political, professional and everyday education, for example in relation to taxes, insurance and sustainability.

The state student council is a democratically elected representation of all students in Bavaria. It consists of twelve people and is elected at the beginning of each school year. The state student council is enshrined in law and has the right to be informed and consulted by the state ministry on fundamental school matters and to make suggestions and suggestions to the state ministry.
