Bayern: Köllner warns his record starters: "Everyone wants to beat us"

Munich (dpa / lby) – The record starters of TSV 1860 Munich are preparing for increasing resistance from opponents in the 3rd football league. Coach Michael Köllner said “the sixth win in six games” was the logical goal for the leaders in the away game this Saturday (2:00 p.m.) at FC Viktoria Köln. “We want to expand that,” said Köllner on Thursday about the previous series of successes.

The 52-year-old also spoke of an increasingly difficult situation for his team: “Everyone wants to be the first to beat us.” The Cologne team also started well with three wins and two defeats. “We have to adapt to a team with a very good playing culture,” said Köllner to the opponent.

His team has of course gained a lot of self-confidence thanks to the excellent start to the season. “A defining feature” is that his eleven were always able to set the right accents in important phases of the games. The training was “really crisp” on Tuesday and Wednesday, reported Köllner happily. The goal at work during the week is to “maintain the sharpness”.

Midfielder Tim Rieder, who was suspended for two games after his red card in the home win against Halle, will miss the “Löwen” in Cologne.
