Budget 2022: The Government freezes by 8.4 million the assignment of the King’s house

The Government has foreseen a total of 8,431,150 euros for the King’s house in the state’s general budget project for 2022. This figure implies a freeze with respect to that of 2021 fiscal year and as found in section 01 of accounts
From the State and publishes the house of your Majesty the king on its website.

The Yellow Book that includes the draft budgets and that the Minister of Hacienda María Jesús Montero has presented at the Congress of Deputies does not explain in any of its 429 pages the figure destined to the royal house.
Only on page 273 shows a table that collects the expenses of the State distributed by sections and the round figure of 8 million is contemplated for the support of the monarchy in the next year.
If this is the final figure, it would involve a reduction of 5% with respect to exercise 2021.

However, going to the red volume of budgets, it is verified that the amount foreseen for the King’s house is identical to that of this year, that is, 8,431,150 euros.
With this transfer you must hold the real family and your home.
Presecibably, of this figure just more than 6% will be allocated to ‘salaries’ of the members of the royal family (King Felipe VI; Queen Letizia and Dona Sofía), that is, little more than half a million euros

Previously, in the years 2019 and 2020, 2018 budgets were extended so that the figure remained fixed at 7,887,150 euros.

In the year 2021, Felipe VI has decided to devote 48.6% of the amount received to personnel expenses;
34.8% to current expenses in goods and services;
6% to the royal family;
8.5% to investments and 1.99% to a contingency fund.
