Colorado Girl found dead Close home from Obvious bear attack, wildlife officials say

The bureau’s Southwest Area manager said endure strikes are”extremely rare”

A Colorado lady was found dead Friday in a clear bear assault at the southwestern portion of the country, based on Colorado Parks & Wildlife.

He believed she was walking the dogs until she was assaulted.

“Bear attacks are very rare,” Cory Chick, CPW Southwest Region director, stated in a release. “That is a terrible event and also a gloomy reminder that bears are wild and potentially harmful.”

The bears were taken and summoned to a laboratory for a necropsy. The sow was thought to be more than a decade old.

“from an abundance of caution, the bears have been eliminated for public security,” Chick said. “We ask the people to report any experience with a competitive bear to CPW.”

The La Plata County coroner is going to perform an autopsy on the unnamed girl to formally determine her cause of death. Wildlife officials may also continue to research to confirm that it had been a bear attack.

Other bear sightings are reported in the region recently.
