Dark mines before birthday: Noah and Lilian visit Boris Becker in prison

Boris Becker turned 55 on Tuesday. Undoubtedly the saddest birthday of his life so far, as he had to celebrate it behind bars. And the faces of his son and his girlfriend speak volumes when they visit him.

Boris Becker has now been in custody in Great Britain for more than six months after being convicted of delaying bankruptcy. Now he had to celebrate his birthday in prison for the first time – and that’s because he rounded at least half. Becker turned 55 on Tuesday.

Probably for this reason, the former Wimbledon winner could at least look forward to a visit to the HMP Huntercombe prison on the day before his birthday, where he is currently serving his sentence. Paparazzi photos, available to RTL but not allowed to be published online, show his eldest son Noah and his girlfriend Lilian De Carvalho Monteiro on their way to the prison.

The mines of the two appear petrified. Their eyes are lowered, their hands buried in their pockets. A car and chauffeur took them to the prison, where they were met by a correctional officer.

There is currently a small glimmer of hope for Becker that he will soon be released from prison. A few days ago “The Sun” reported that the ex-tennis professional could possibly be deported from Great Britain before Christmas. In Germany he would then have a chance of parole and could first find accommodation with friends in Frankfurt. However, Becker’s management did not confirm this to RTL.

However, deportation to Germany would also be a double-edged sword for Becker. It is true that he would eventually be free and return to his home country. Returning to the UK, where he has lived for many years, could prove difficult.

Boris Becker was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on April 29 in London. The court saw it as proven that he had concealed assets worth millions from his insolvency administrators.
