Energy: Göring-Eckardt does not rule out stretching operation of nuclear power plants

Bundestag Vice President Katrin Göring-Eckardt (Greens) does not rule out the so-called extended operation of nuclear power plants in Germany beyond the end of the year. When asked whether the Greens would allow the kiln to be operated, she said on the ARD program “Anne Will”: “If we have a real emergency situation, hospitals can no longer work, if such an emergency situation happens, then we need to talk about what about the fuel rods.”
