On the night of Monday July 4 to Tuesday July 5, around midnight, an apartment fire broke out on the second floor of an apartment located rue Dominique-Cancellieri in Sallanches.
The fire started in the apartment. It was destroyed, and the whole building was evacuated.
A man aged 30 years was taken into care and was transported to Geneva hospital with absolute urgency. Seven other people were also evacuated from the building to Sallanches hospital as a matter of relative emergency. Nearly 50 firefighters, the gendarmerie and the municipal police were involved in the rescue. The electricity board, City teams, and the municipality also participated.
Eleven people were moved by the town hall, or their own efforts.
