Hesse: High sick leave: More train cancellations at Kurhessenbahn

Kassel (dpa / lhe) – Staff shortages due to high sick leave are causing further train cancellations on the Kurhessenbahn (KHB). According to a spokeswoman on Tuesday, the RB/RE39 line from Bad Wildungen via Wabern to Kassel is now no longer available from Monday to Friday at 7:48 p.m. from Wabern. The train would arrive in Bad Wildungen at 8:15 p.m. A rail replacement service could not be set up so far, it said.

According to the information, the departure times of the buses will be adjusted so that the connections between train and bus at Wabern station can be ensured. They should be displayed from Wednesday on via the app of the North Hessian Transport Association (NVV) during the day.

It had previously been announced that traffic between Kassel and Bad Wildungen could only start at 12:00 p.m. on August 5th. Until then, trains on the RB/RE39 line will only run between Kassel Hauptbahnhof and Wabern. The RB/RE97 trains between Marburg and Brilon via Korbach will initially run every two hours until August 5th.
