Hesse: man died with stab wounds: son suspected of crime

Offenbach (dpa / lhe) – A man died in Offenbach from stab wounds in his upper body. According to information from Tuesday, the police are assuming a homicide, with the 19-year-old son of the 40-year-old dead being suspected of the crime. The police in Offenbach and the public prosecutor’s office in Darmstadt assume that there was a dispute between family members beforehand, as stated in a joint statement.

The injured person was reported to officials early Monday morning. At the time, the rescue service tried to revive the 40-year-old – ultimately unsuccessfully. A search was then launched for the son, who came to a police station in North Rhine-Westphalia on Monday evening and was provisionally arrested. The man was to be brought before the magistrate on Tuesday in North Rhine-Westphalia. Several media had previously reported about it.
