US actor Jeremy Renner addressed his fans two days after a serious accident while clearing snow. The short message to his 18.6 million followers: “Thank you all for your kind words. I’m too broken to type now. But I send you all love,” says the caption.

Renner suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries after being involved in a snow plow accident on his property in Reno, Nevada on Jan. 1 and being rushed by plane to a hospital. He underwent surgery on January 2 and remained in critical but stable condition in intensive care afterwards.

Numerous fans and colleagues, including Chris Pratt, Orlando Bloom, Chris Hemsworth, Penélope Cruz and Isla Fisher, wished a speedy recovery on Instagram. “Speedy recovery”, provided with a heart emoji, wished model and TV presenter Heidi Klum.

According to the police in Washoe County (US state Nevada), Renner was run over by his own snow plow on New Year’s Day. Sheriff Darin Balaam spoke of a “tragic accident” at a press conference. After heavy snowfall in the mountain region near Lake Tahoe, a member of the Renners family got stuck in a car on a private road. The actor freed the vehicle from the snow masses with his snow plow. Then he got out, but the heavy device started moving again. The accident happened when trying to get back into the driver’s seat, Balaam said. Renner was taken to a nearby clinic by helicopter.

“Jeremy’s family would like to say thank you to the incredible doctors and nurses who took care of him, the Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families,” Renners said Speaker. “They are also overwhelmed and grateful for the tremendous love and support from his fans.”
