LOC The actor Héctor Parra, sentenced to 10 years in prison for corruption of minors

The actor Héctor Parra, popular for his appearance in several Mexican soap operas, has been sentenced to ten years and six months in prison for corruption of minors. It was her own daughter, Alexa Parra, who accused him of sexually abusing her for years.

The young woman’s lawyer has issued a statement collected by Mexican media such as ‘Milenio’ in which she “celebrates” the sentence handed down by the judge. “This ruling represents progress in the search for justice for Alexa and for all the girls and boys who have suffered sexual violence in their family spaces, a reality that affects thousands of infants in our country and that often goes unpunished for the lack of denunciation, investigation and sanction”, he assures.

Even so, they recognize that the sentence “is not an end point” and that there is still “a long way to go.” It has been more than a year and a half since the actor, who has always denied the facts, was arrested.
