Motorists in Wales are advised to prepare for major disruptions on the M4 this week as roadworks are causing closures and diversions. The Prince of Wales Bridge will experience full overnight closures from Monday to Friday, with both eastbound and westbound carriageways shut between 9pm and 6am each night. National Highways are carrying out resurfacing and repair works on the bridge, and drivers are urged to allow extra time for their journeys. A diversion will be in place via the M48 Severn Bridge.

In addition to the closures on the Prince of Wales Bridge, several other sections of the M4 will also be affected throughout the week. From J23A Magor to J23 Rogiet, there will be an eastbound carriageway closure for maintenance, with the exit and entry slip roads closed between November 18 and November 24 from 8pm to 6am.

For those traveling from J35 Pencoed to J34 Miskin, an eastbound carriageway closure for resurfacing work will be in place on November 20 and November 21 between 8pm and 6am. At J40 Taibach, the eastbound carriageway will be closed for cyclic maintenance, with the exit and entry slip roads closed between November 18 and November 19 from 7.30pm to midnight.

Drivers heading towards J41 Pentyla/Baglan will encounter an eastbound carriageway closure for maintenance, with the entry slip road closed between November 18 and November 23 from 8pm to 6am. On the westbound side, J46 Llangyfelach will have a carriageway closure for maintenance between November 18 and November 23 from 8pm to 6am.

Lastly, at J48 Hendy, the westbound carriageway will be closed for maintenance, with the exit and entry slip roads closed between November 14 and November 23 from 8pm to 6am. Traffic Wales advises drivers to follow diversions and plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.
