Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Illegal boat transport too fast at the Advent market: caught

Neustadt-Glewe (dpa/mv) – A police check at the edge of the Advent market in Neustadt-Glewe (Ludwigslust-Parchim) exposed an illegal boat transport and brought a whole series of reports to the driver. As a police spokesman said on Monday, the 42-year-old was stopped in the city center on Saturday evening because of the broken brake light and very rapid driving with a van, trailer and boat. It turned out that the man from Hamburg no longer had a driver’s license, was probably on drugs and the boat trailer was not registered and insured and also had false license plates.

The men in the van came from the island of Usedom by boat and trailer and were heading west. The driver came from Hamburg, the passenger from Lower Saxony. The police prohibited the duo from continuing their journey. The driver now has to answer for driving without a license, under the influence of drugs, for forging documents and violating the compulsory insurance law.
