Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Rostock Seawolves commit experienced US player

Rostock (dpa / mv) – The Rostock Seawolves have signed another experienced player for their debut season in the basketball Bundesliga. The American JeQuan Lewis signed a one-year contract with the BBL promoted, the club announced on Friday. The 27-year-old guard was previously active in Greece, Israel and Estonia and was also used in the Champions League. “We’re happy that we were able to bring such a player to Rostock,” emphasized coach Christian Held.

The coach has high hopes for Lewis. He will certainly give the team a new quality in the point guard position, he said, and is counting on opportunities for improvement. “JeQuan has always had very good numbers and has always played very well, he has always been a leader and an important part of the teams he has played in. However, we – and he sees himself – the potential to still develop further,” said Held.
