Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: the start of the process for millions of bankruptcies of German Pellets GmbH

Schwerin (dpa / mv) – Seven years after the insolvency of the Wismar wood processor German Pellets GmbH, the trial against a former member of the management board begins on Thursday (9:00 a.m.) at the Schwerin district court. The man is accused of delaying bankruptcy, fraud, bankruptcy and tax evasion. Two other defendants in the trial face fraud and credit fraud charges.

According to the investigation, German Pellets GmbH was said to have been insolvent almost a year before filing for insolvency on February 9, 2016. When selling corporate bonds, the managing director is said to have given false information about the company’s financial situation. The investors are said to have suffered damage of 7.2 million euros.

For the process, 29 hearing dates are initially scheduled until August 9th.
