Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: Unknown people riot in the train wagon: high damage

Neustrelitz (dpa/mv) – Unknown persons have damaged a railway passenger carriage in Neustrelitz (Mecklenburg Lake District) in such a way that the carriage can no longer be used for the time being. As a spokeswoman for the federal police said on Wednesday, the incident happened early in the morning. The damage is estimated at tens of thousands of euros. Trains run from Neustrelitz to Berlin, Rostock and Stralsund.

According to initial investigations, the perpetrators are said to have violently gained access to the wagon parked at the station between three and four in the morning and rioted there with great noise. Doors were sacked, monitors destroyed, seats damaged and later windows at the nearby bus station smashed. One of the perpetrators must also have injured himself. The federal police are hoping for clues to the perpetrators. It is being investigated for damage to property, theft and misuse of emergency aid.
