Friedland (dpa / mv) – For the second time within two weeks, wheel nuts on ambulances have apparently been loosened in a targeted manner in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. On Sunday, the police announced that a vehicle from the Friedland rescue station (Mecklenburgische Seenplatte district) was affected at the weekend. The ambulance was no longer drivable and had to be towed. The property damage is estimated at 1000 euros. The police suspect that the wheel nuts of a wheel were loosened during an operation on Saturday and are asking for information from the population.
A similar case happened in Wismar two weeks ago. When returning from an operation, the driver of the ambulance noticed imbalances in the wheels and stopped, according to the police. The police are also investigating in this case because of dangerous intervention in road traffic.
