Must submit documents to Jolie: Pitt suffers setback in winery dispute

There is no end in sight to the War of the Roses between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. On the contrary: the former Hollywood dream couple continues to argue about custody of their children and the winery in France. The actress now manages a partial victory in court.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been arguing about their joint winery in France for a long time. Now the actress has achieved a partial victory in court, as reported by the US site “Page Six”. Jolie had requested certain documents from Pitt concerning him, his manager and his company, Mondo Bongo.

The actor had resisted the publication of the documents. On Friday, however, a judge in Los Angeles ruled that Pitt Jolie’s team must hand over the documents. The 58-year-old cannot even withhold the documents until he appeals this decision.

Pitt and Jolie bought the Château Miraval near Correns between Marseille and Nice in 2008. The 47-year-old sold her share of the estate in southern France to Tenute del Mondo in October 2021. The company is a subsidiary of Russian billionaire Yuri Shefler’s Stoli Group. In February, Pitt officially filed a lawsuit against his ex-wife. The US portal “TMZ” reported at the time that he wanted to reverse the sale of their company shares to the Russian oligarchs and have them declared null and void. Jolie sold her share behind Pitt’s back. In his eyes, that is unacceptable.

Pitt claimed in the lawsuit that he’s invested a lot of money and time over the years, and he wants a reward for it. His wife at the time paid 40 percent of the original purchase price of 25 million euros, and he paid the rest himself. It was he who made the winery profitable. Jolie has had nothing to do with it since 2013 at the latest. According to Pitt, there was an agreement that neither of them could sell their shares without the consent of the other.

Pitt and Jolie have been a couple since 2005 and married in 2014. In 2016, Jolie filed for divorce. Since then, the ex-couple has also been fighting over custody of their children Pax (18), Zahara (17), Shiloh (16), Vivienne (14), Knox (14) and Maddox (20). The latter is no longer part of the proceedings due to his coming of age.
