North Rhine-Westphalia: driving on NRW motorways: mini-traffic jam in the direction of amusement parks

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) – Free travel on the otherwise congested motorways in North Rhine-Westphalia: On Whitsunday, with one small exception, drivers were able to drive to their destinations without additional delays due to traffic jams and slow-moving traffic. On the online overview map of the Ministry of Transport, in addition to the well-known numerous construction site areas, no large traffic jam areas were shown in the morning. Shortly before 10 a.m., the traffic overview of the WDR on the Internet even showed a value that was very rare for the traffic jam state of NRW: zero kilometers of traffic jams.

Shortly thereafter, on the WDR overview, there was a mini traffic jam on the Autobahn 31 in the direction of Gronau between Gladbeck and Bottrop-Kirchhellen of two kilometers on the way to the amusement parks. However, the loss of time was limited at five to ten minutes for the many families who were on their way there at the time, as can be seen from the overview of the NRW Ministry of Transport.
