North Rhine-Westphalia: Fire brigade saves kitten from the engine compartment of a car

Kranenburg (dpa / lnw) – The fire brigade rescued a young cat from the engine compartment of a car in Kranenburg on the border with the Netherlands. On Saturday afternoon, passers-by in a parking lot became aware of the animal in the parked car because of noises, according to the fire brigade.

The emergency services opened the hood of the car, but were initially unable to reach the kitten from above. Therefore, the car had to be raised to save the young animal underneath the engine.

So far, it has not been clarified who the cat belongs to. It was also not yet clear whether the cat got into the car in the parking lot, or possibly even rode in it before. The car had a Dutch registration.
