Mönchengladbach (dpa / lnw) – A 76-year-old man was seriously injured in a fire in his inhalation device in Mönchengladbach. The fire brigade said that a triggered smoke detector alerted the emergency services on Thursday night. A neighbor of the man had already extinguished the fire before the firefighters arrived and thus prevented worse. The senior suffered facial burns and respiratory injuries. He was taken to a special clinic. The police did not provide any information on how the fire started.
