North Rhine-Westphalia: man holds two women in the apartment: police operation

Düsseldorf-Bilk (dpa / lnw) – A man held two women in his apartment in Düsseldorf-Bilk against their will, triggering a police operation. The women were probably locked up for about 45 minutes on Friday morning before a witness called the police, a police spokesman said on Sunday. When the man opened his apartment door and recognized the men standing in front as police officers, he started injuring himself and threatened to kill himself. The police used an electric taser and then handcuffed the man. He was slightly injured. The 35-year-old was taken to a psychiatric hospital.

According to the initial findings of the police, one of the women had just separated from the man and wanted to get personal belongings from the apartment. The two women were not physically injured.
