Oregon Girl's body recovered after landslide buried Automobile under 15 feet of Sand

Searchers estimated her automobile was buried beneath about 15 ft of sand, stone and logs along with a contractor hired by the sheriff’s department needed to utilize a high powered metal detector to locate its precise location.

To reach her automobile, crews had to use heavy machinery such as front loaders and dump trucks.

“It is not the result everybody would have hoped ,” River Patrol Unit Sgt. Steve Dangler stated in a announcement ,”but at this stage it brings closure to the family members and enables them to start the grieving procedure.”

Moore’s husband told colleagues that he’d been on the telephone with her in the time of this landslide, FOX 12 of Oregon reported.

He explained he had been driving before her at another car once they had a dinner date and noticed her shout followed by crashing noises.

An evacuation notice went into effect at the region early that morning on account of the danger of flash flood following a stormy night, based on FOX 12. Residents were permitted to come home as of Jan. 17.
