State police said a 19-year-old man drove recklessly on Route 28 near Fox Chapel and led police on a high-speed chase to the Harmarville exit and into Springdale before he crashed into two utility poles and a porch. The man, who police said wasn't injured, is facing numerous charges including reckless endangerment and attempting to flee and elude police.

Cpl. Chris Robbins said the man ignored police flashing lights and siren and instead sped up and raced down the Harmarville exit trying to elude police in a car belonging to a relative. At Springdale, he crashed into two utility poles and a porch at the intersection of Pittsburgh at Orchard streets. Troopers and Springdale borough and township officers pulled him from the car. Robbins said the man is facing numerous charges. The man was to be taken to Allegheny County night court to be arraigned.
