Politics The PSOE warns Podemos that when the parties do not take root "the wave passes and leaves no trace"

The PSOE has sent a warning message to Podemos this Saturday about its future, confronting it with its own party history with more than a century of history: “All organizations that are born temporarily at the risk of a political situation and do not take root in the peoples , in the cities… the wave passes and they leave no trace”.

The person in charge of sending the message to the purple formation in full conflict with Sumar for the leadership of the space located to the left of the Socialists has been its general deputy secretary and finance minister, María Jesús Montero. “Political organizations, regardless of the situation, are nothing more than a summer night when they are not rooted in the territory,” she stressed.

He did it during the inauguration of the PSOE municipal conference that is being held this weekend in Valencia to launch the electoral campaign on May 28. In his speech, he valued the management of the party’s mayors, who he said are the “articulation of useful politics that the citizens of a centenary organization that has been changing this country for centuries through sacrifice, effort and dedication implication”.

“The strength of this party lies in its deep roots,” Moreno insisted, paraphrasing former president José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, whom he preceded in speaking. “We still have many issues to resolve, but there are many achievements that during all the socialist legislatures have made it possible to build a country of rights and freedoms”, he added, insisting on the idea of ??the seniority of his acronyms.

The warning sent by the Socialists to Podemos is part of their strategy of continuous calls for it to reach a confluence agreement with Sumar for the general elections that will be called at the end of the year. In Ferraz they are certain that the dispersion of a vote to their left, which they recognize that they cannot reach, harms them and they openly advocate that all that space attend the elections with a single ballot.

For his part, Zapatero has made a strong defense of the management of the current president and, in particular, has praised his “leadership” and his “vision of the future” when applying pardons to those convicted of the illegal referendum attempt in Catalonia, which has triggered a loud applause among the attendees. “Thanks to the Government of Pedro Sánchez, the future of Spain is a state of stability,” he added.

The former leader has also regretted that the PP has not supported other measures that the coalition has implemented, such as the increase in the Minimum Interprofessional Wage: “When they are in the opposition they only think about how they beat us, not about how Spain wins” .

“They don’t know what to do, they don’t know what to invent because the government is doing things very well. And when there is a government that does politics well, the opposition is either creative or falls into the bizarre, see [Ramón] Tamames or evangelical preachers “, he stressed in reference to Vox’s motion of censure and an intervention in an act of the popular.
