Report: Pit bull dogs break into porch, kill cat

It was a doggone bad day for a pair of neighbors in Cocoa on Monday when two pit bull dogs got loose, broke into a backyard and killed a cat, according to a WOFL-Channel 35 news report.

The dogs’ owner told WOFL she isn’t sure how the pups, named Jacob and Esau, got out of their yard, but they showed up about three miles away at a home on Cricle Drive.

The dogs tore through a screened-in porch, and then killed one of two cats living in the lanai, according to the report. The other cat squeezed behind a washing machine and hid until it was safe.

Police said the dogs were returned to their owner, who was cited.
