Rhein-Lahn-Kreis: Hard-to-reach forest fire keeps the fire brigade in suspense

A forest fire in rough terrain near Braubach kept the fire brigade in suspense on Sunday. For the arrival of an extra all-terrain fire engine, among other things, fallen trees would first have to be removed, the fire brigade of the Loreley association announced on Monday. During the almost four-hour operation, the rescue workers also fought the approximately 400 square meter conflagration with fire-fighting backpacks. Water was also dropped from a police helicopter. A total of about 60 people were involved.
