Saxony: call denied – man wants to set gas station on fire

Chemnitz (dpa / sn) – Out of anger, an unknown person tried to set fire to a gas station in Chemnitz on Saturday night. According to the police on Sunday, he asked for a mobile phone at the night counter to make a call. When the employee refused, he initially left, but came back shortly afterwards. First he insulted the woman, insulted her and threatened her with death and then poured diesel on the ground at a pump. However, it failed to light him – and he ran away, the police reported. She is investigating attempted serious arson, threats and insults. The video recordings from the gas station premises were secured in order to identify the perpetrator.
