Saxony: Contact point created for victims of right-wing extremism

Dresden (dpa/sn) – Victims of right-wing extremism and anti-Semitism can contact a central contact point at the Saxon Attorney General’s Office. Three public prosecutors there look after people who have become the target of hostilities, hate speech and violence because of their social commitment or their political activities. Victims of such crimes must be able to rely on the rule of law to ensure consistent punishment and not leave them alone, Justice Minister Katja Meier (Greens) said on Tuesday.

The ZORA abbreviated contact point was set up on May 1, 2022. The aim is also for the three prosecutors to get into conversation with those affected and for them to meet their regions in a targeted manner.
