Leipzig (dpa/sn) – Five people were injured in a fire in an apartment building in Leipzig on Sunday night. The fire broke out in an apartment for an unknown reason, the police said. More than 20 residents were brought outside by the fire brigade and police.
The injured include a 10-year-old boy, a 15-year-old teenager, a 17-year-old and two women aged 47 and 74. Some of them were admitted to the hospital for treatment. A 19-year-old helper and a firefighter were also slightly injured during the evacuation. A fire specialist is scheduled to investigate the cause on Monday.
