Saxony: Saxon police are recruiting young people

Dresden (dpa/sn) – The Saxon police are recruiting young people with the “Open School Days”. On three weekends in November, people at different locations can find out about the police profession in Saxony, as the Ministry of the Interior announced on Tuesday.

According to this, the Schneeberg police school will be open to all interested parties on November 5th, the Saxon Police College in Bautzen on November 12th and the Chemnitz and Leipzig police schools on November 19th. Information events should be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., it said.

For years, fewer and fewer people have been applying for a career as a police officer in Saxony, as the police announced on Tuesday on request. However, there are still many times more applicants for each apprenticeship position.
