Chemnitz (dpa/sn) – Around the Chemnitz Marx Monument, slackline professionals will show their skills at dizzy heights on Thursday. For this purpose, three so-called highlines are stretched at a height of around 30 meters from the office building behind the monument to the 11th floor of a high-rise hotel opposite. The athlete Lukas Irmler, who has already set several records, will balance on it. Guests will also include Marius Kitowski, who will be performing a stunt show. Visitors can also try their hand at slacklining.
The action should get in the mood for the 16th Slackfest, said organizer Hendrik Hadlich from the Walden association. Several competitions are planned at the Euba dam until Sunday, such as a race on a slackline, a trickline competition and a fun gladiator competition. A family course is also offered.
