Stars from back then are there: RTL brings back the legendary show from the 90s

“Two Chairs – One Opinion”, “News from Spocht” and “Die Doofen”: In the 90s, millions of viewers glued to the TV show “RTL Saturday Night”. The show is making a comeback this fall. Unfortunately, one of the earlier protagonists does not live to see the reunion.

In the fall, the big gala show “RTL Saturday Night – The Reunion” (also on RTL ) will take place with the stars of yesteryear. Esther Schweins, Tanja Schumann, Olli Dittrich, Wigald Boning, Tommy Krappweis, Stefan Jürgens and Mark Weigel will be present at the sketches, parodies and music.

According to the broadcaster’s announcement, viewers can look forward to column classics such as “Two Chairs – One Opinion”, “News from Spocht” and “Die Doofen”. The notorious word twisters will also be there again.

Hugo Egon Balder leads through the evening. “As the producer at the time, I was very happy to moderate the big ‘RTL Saturday night’ reunion and meet the old crew,” said Balder. This will be fun. And he added that a former star of the show will also be remembered: “It goes without saying that we will of course also commemorate our friend Mirco Nonchev on the show.” The Berliner died in his apartment on December 3rd last year at the age of only 52.

The comedy sketch show “RTL Saturday Night” attracted millions of viewers from November 1993 to May 1998. The regular cast and the team received many awards for their work – including the Bambi, the Bavarian TV Prize and the Grimme Prize. The comedy spectacle was produced by Jacky Dreksler and former “Tutti Frutti” star Hugo Egon Balder. The latter joked in the new press release: “Purely hypothetical, if now ‘Tutti Frutti’ or ‘Everything Nothing Or ?!’ should come back, RTL definitely played through the 90s.”
