The Cursed: No Man’s Sky Halloween Expedition Available Now

news-29102024-171905

Our small team behind No Man’s Sky has a special Halloween surprise for all our PlayStation players – The Cursed expedition is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation VR.

After the peaceful fishing update in our last release, The Cursed brings a whole new level of creepy to the game. Players will find themselves in a strange and eerie gameplay event, where they must fight to maintain their grip on reality while being haunted by visions and voices from another dimension.

The setting of The Cursed is a twilight universe that blurs the line between realities. Time behaves unpredictably, shifting from day to night in a dizzying manner. To navigate this haunted universe, players will have the Boundary Herald Starship as their safe haven – a unique flying saucer with a surreal design reminiscent of Giger’s work.

Survival in The Cursed universe depends on protecting oneself from the weakening boundaries of reality. Players will have a specialized Anomaly Suppressor in their exosuits to help them stay alive as the universe around them starts to crumble.

As players explore these haunting worlds, they may encounter ghostly beings that drift across the boundaries. These spectral anomalies can be passive observers or aggressive foes, providing new challenges and boss battles on a scale never seen before in No Man’s Sky.

Travel within The Cursed expedition will not involve hyperdrive technology, requiring careful planning and use of the ancient portal network. Haunting voices from another dimension will offer guidance, information, strange blueprints, and mystery, leaving players to determine their origin and trustworthiness.

Exclusive rewards await those brave enough to venture into The Cursed, including a Cthulhu-esque Horror Exosuit customization, bioluminescent pets, and the ultimate prize – the UFO-like Boundary Herald Starship salvaged from the collapsing reality.

The expedition is free for existing PlayStation players and will run for about two weeks, offering a unique and spooky experience to celebrate Halloween. Following the success of our previous update Aquarius, which introduced fishing to the game, we continue to see strong support from our community. Stay tuned for more surprises in the coming weeks, including a special release optimized for the power of the PlayStation 5 Pro.

As we embark on this new journey with The Cursed, our commitment to delivering exciting and innovative content to our players remains steadfast. Join us in exploring beyond the boundaries and facing the challenges of the haunted universe as our adventure in No Man’s Sky continues.
