The large electricity of the country elevate its tone against the Government and the Vice President of Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, by the cut of its income approved last week by the Council of Ministers.
After urgently analyzing some of the measures that have caught the sector by surprise, the Patronal AELEC has issued a statement on Tuesday in which Tilda of “absurd” the scenario in which many of its plants will be after the executive has decided
Minor the income of its hydroelectric and nuclear.
According to their numbers, the adjustment leads to losses to “numerous generation facilities”.
Its argument is that 100% of the generation of its nuclear generation plants and renewable installations is already sold at a price at a price that is far below that the wholesale market marks these weeks.
That is, these facilities according to the version of it would not be benefiting from the current episode of record price.
“If the minimum applied, the paradox would be given that the minimum would be until greater than the price they are receiving from their clients, reaching the absurdity of having negative net income,” says AELEC.
Electrices also argue that the increase in income that its generation companies are obtaining by the strong increase in the wholesale market is neutral, since they then have to buy that energy with their marketers to supply their customers.
It is precisely about this transfer of energy on which the Government puts the Focus on its cut, since in its clarification note of the Royal Decree Law leaves out of the hax to the term supply contracts with fixed prices, except for the so-called “Intergrupo”.
“The application of this measure approved by the Government last Wednesday through Royal Decree-Law 17/2021, is not justified when it comes from the reality of what happens in the electricity market,” concludes AELEC.
The Government considers that it will raise 2,600 million euros with the entry into force of this measure between the months of September and next March.
The President of La Patronal, Marina Serrano, has denounced an interview in Cope that no country has intervened the electricity market as the Spanish Government has done before a situation whose origin is abroad: on the one hand in the increase in the contribution
International gas and on the other in the increase in CO2 emission rights.
