Two dead employees in a shooting at a post office of the United States

Two employees of the US Postal Service were shotly killed on Tuesday in an attack with firearm at a Tennessee post office, authorities said.

The alleged shooter opened fire at the East Lamar Carrier Annex, in Memphis, and then died by a self-inflicted bullet wound.

The US postal inspector, Susan Link, specified journalists that both victims and the shooter were employees of the postal service.
“There is no in progress”, she said.

“The FBI is working on the scene and can confirm that the attacker is one of the three employees who killed by a seemingly self-inflicted bullet wound,” said Lisa-Anne Culp, spokesman for the FBI field office in Memphis, in it
Press conference.
An investigation began, she anticipated, but both Link and Culp refused to give more details about the shooting.

“The postal service is saddened by the events that took place today in Memphis,” the institution said in a statement.
“Our thoughts are with the relatives, friends and co-workers of the people involved.”

The massive shootings and other types of violence with firearms are huge problems in the United States.
Defenders of arms control say they are fed by the prevalence of firearms and relatively lax weapons laws.
