Ukraine: Pentagon Investigates Leaked Confidential Documents

The Pentagon is trying to identify the mole. The US government has noticed leaked classified documents detailing US and NATO strategy to support Ukraine in the face of the Russian invasion, which were posted this week on social media, the New York Times. When questioned, the Pentagon said it was investigating the matter. “We are aware of press reports regarding social media posts and the department is reviewing the matter,” Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said.

These documents, which date from the beginning of March according to the American daily, evoke for example the rate at which the Ukrainian forces use the crucial ammunition of the Himars mobile rocket launchers, or the schedule of the deliveries of weapons or the training provided by the West to soldiers in Kiev.

The documents, shared on Twitter and Telegram, appear authentic, according to experts quoted by the New York newspaper, but some have been altered to present the Russian situation in a more favorable light, in particular by minimizing the extent of their losses . According to these leaks, 12 Ukrainian brigades are being formed, including 9 trained and equipped by the United States, notes the New York Times.
