Sergei Shoigu, who visited during an inspection at a military factory in the Omsk region (Western Siberia), “set the goal of continuing to increase the production of tanks”, said the Russian army in a statement.

Sergei Shoigu also stressed the need to improve the security of armored vehicles and their crews, according to the same source.

This announcement comes in the midst of a Ukrainian counter-offensive aimed at retaking the territories under their control in Ukraine from Russian forces.
